City of Saratoga Code of Ethics

In July 2008, the Saratoga City Council adopted the Saratoga Code of Ethics. The Code applies to Council members, Commissioners, City staff and volunteers and includes practical strategies for addressing ethical questions, a useful framework for decision-making, and how to handle day-to-day operations. The Council seeks public confidence in the City's services and public trust of its decision-makers.

Also, in July 2008, the Saratoga City Council adopted City Council Election Ethics and Standards to promote honest, fair, and responsible campaigning.  To that end, candidates are now asked to sign the City’s Pledge of Fair Campaign Practices.  By signing the pledge, candidates agree to conduct their campaign in an open and courteous manner.
