Saratoga Village Pedestrian Enhancement Street Light Work
The City of Saratoga through its contractor Amland Corp. will be installing new street light poles with LED street light fixtures along Big Basin Way in the Village. The limits of the installation are between Highway 9 and 6th Street. The new LED fixtures will use 50% less energy than the existing ones.
In order to expedite the project and have minimum street light interruption the Contractor will install the new poles and LED fixtures adjacent to the existing street lights, of which a majority are owned by PG&E. Once the new street lights are installed PG&E will remove their facilities.
The City's contractor will place barricades in the street 72 hours prior to commencing work to notify the public and merchants when the work will start in front of the merchant buildings.
The construction will start the week of May 20th. All streets and sidewalks will generally remain open during construction. The project will be completed this summer.
