Each year, the City of Saratoga adopts an Operating Budget and an annual budget update to the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30. The budgets serve as the City’s financial plan, as well as a policy document, a communication tool, and an operations guide. Developed with an emphasis on long-range planning, service delivery, and program management, the budgets’ fundamental purpose is to provide a linkage between the services and projects the City delivers, and resources committed to getting the work done.
