Project Details
Quarry Park opened on October 31, 2015 through the dedicated efforts of the City, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors, and County of Santa Clara Department of Parks and Recreation. For many years, there has been an effort to connect Saratoga to the Pacific Ocean via 37 miles of hiking trails.
San Jose Water Company granted the City an easement over their property adjacent to Quarry Park where the City constructed a 3.6-mile long trail. This trail marks the starting point of the journey from Saratoga to the Sea. It connects Quarry Park to Sanborn Park, where County of Santa Clara Department of Parks and Recreation reconstructed over a mile of trails to complete the connection.
