Santa Clara County Fire Department, in partnership with Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, presented two Wildfire Preparedness Community Meetings in Saratoga on Thursday, April 18 and Thursday, May 30. These free workshops taught attendees how to reduce wildfire risk and to better prepare their families and homes through the techniques of Ready, Set, Go:
- Ready: Take steps in and around home that will slow or stop the spread of wildfire, and increase the chances of your home surviving a wildfire.
- Set: Prepare your family’s action plan to help you survive wildfires and other disasters, be ready to evacuation, and have a family communication plan.
- Go: Stay informed of emergency situations, and make your family’s evacuation plan to have the best chance of survival in a wildfire.
