Stay Safe During the Heatwave

High temperatures are expected in the County through the weekend. Prepare now—Don’t let a heatwave turn into an emergency. Avoid strenuous activity and direct exposure to the sun during the hottest part of the day. Those with chronic medical conditions and those taking medication and stimulant drugs should drink plenty of water and electrolytes, and stay indoors. Find information about cooling centers and hot weather safety tips on the County's website.

Safe Routes to School

The City is currently developing a Safe Routes to School Master Plan to identify improvements that could be made around schools to create safe opportunities that encourage children to walk or bike to school, and for community members to travel on foot and by bike around their neighborhoods.

We want to hear from students, parents, and community members to learn about your experiences and to identify the most meaningful improvements for the community. Please submit your concerns about walking, biking, or driving to school in Saratoga, and visit www.saratoga.ca.us/SRTS to learn more.
