Meeting Logistics

Meeting Setup
To accommodate a larger number of attendees, this meeting has been set up as a Zoom webinar, not a Zoom meeting. You will notice that only the host and panelists can mute or unmute their own audio and turn their video on or off. Attendees will all join the meeting in listen-only mode and cannot turn video on. When prompted by the host, you can raise your hand to request to speak.

Raising Your Hand
If you are using the Zoom website or app, you can use the Zoom tool to raise your hand. If you are calling in on the phone, you can press *9 to raise your hand and be added to the queue. The host will then go through the list of raised hands, unmuting attendees one by one to speak. When it is your turn to speak, you will receive a prompt on your screen that you must accept to be unmuted.

Project Description

The Saratoga Retirement Community (SRC) campus is located at 14500 Fruitvale Avenue, totaling approximately 37 acres. SRC submitted an application to the City seeking approval to construct three new buildings which would contain 52 independent living units. If approved, this would bring the total residential units to 298 and skilled nursing beds to 52. The facility currently has 249 units (143 independent living units and 106 assisted living units) and 94 skilled nursing beds. A new meeting room would be added to the existing Manor building, and a new workout room would be added to the existing fitness center. The project proposal includes 113 additional parking spaces and the construction of a public trail connecting Fruitvale Avenue with the San Marcos Open Space.
