Blossom Festival Tomorrow

The annual Blossom Festival is tomorrow, April 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Heritage Orchard and Saratoga Civic Center, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue. Come enjoy the antique cars, live music, art, crafts, gourmet food trucks, children's activities, a petting zoo, historical characters, local organizations, and more! Free Drive Through COVID-19 Testing

BigBang Artwork will offer free drive through COVID-19 testing on April 10 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Saratoga Prospect Center, 19848 Prospect Road. The PCR test results are typically available in 24-48 hours. One free N95 mask per visitor will also be supplied. Schedule a required appointment online.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join Saratoga Federated Church on Sunday, April 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for an eggs-travaganza! There will be an Easter egg hunt, bounce houses, crafts and activities, and a petting zoo too. Food trucks will also be on site to purchase lunch. Please stop by the check-in booth to receive baskets and ice cream tickets.

Arbor Day Celebration

Join us to celebrate Arbor Day on Wednesday, April 27 in Kevin Moran Park at 4:00 p.m. Attendees will receive free flower seeds and oak tree seedlings to plant at home, compost, resources, and refreshments. You can also participate in the City’s ARTbor Day contest by submitting art inspired by Saratoga’s trees or Arbor Day by April 20 for the chance to win a prize. Three participants will be selected at random, and winners will receive their prizes at the Arbor Day Celebration. For more information, visit www.saratoga.ca.us/arborday

Apply for the Youth Commission

We’re looking for civic-minded middle and high schoolers to join the Youth Commission! Applications are due by May 6, and applicants must be in grades 7-11 in the 2022/23 school year. Visit www.saratoga.ca.us/comvac to learn more and apply online!

Traffic Safety Improvements Coming to Neighborhoods!

Please review proposed traffic safety improvements for neighborhoods across Saratoga included in the Safe Routes to School Master Plan, then submit your feedback to the Traffic Safety Commission. The goal of Safe Routes to School is to create safe travel opportunities for children to walk or bike to school and for all community members to walk or bike around their neighborhoods. Teen Film Competition

Silicon Valley Clean Energy is providing $20,000 in scholarships for students as part of the second Empower Silicon Valley Youth Short-Film Competition. Through a short-film, local youth are invited to explore what a climate-friendly, clean energy world would look like and how we will get there. Online entries are due by Monday, May 2.
