Saratoga Summer Music Series

Join the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce for the Saratoga Summer Music Series on Saturday, August 27 at Wildwood Park at 1:00 p.m. for an afternoon of live music, dance, food, and cheer. Tickets are not required to attend, but registration is requested. You can also sign up to volunteer for this fun-filled event. For more information, visit the Chamber of Commerce website.

Safe Routes to School

On September 7, the City Council will review the draft Safe Routes to School Master Plan, which identifies improvements that could be made around schools to encourage walking or biking to school and around neighborhoods. Please review the draft Master Plan and recommended projects for each school location, then share your feedback with the City Council at their meeting. Online Art Challenge

Attention Saratoga artists! Sharpen your pencils and clean your brushes to get ready for the City of Saratoga Online Art Challenge. Register by September 30 to submit your artwork inspired by monthly themes during the month of October, November, and December. Participants will have the chance to win monthly prizes and a grand prize based on age category (18 and under, over 18). Visit www.saratoga.ca.us/challenge to register. 

Saratoga Safety Fair

Register today for the City of Saratoga Safety Fair on Thursday, September 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Attendees will have a chance to briefly talk one-on-one with public safety organizations on topics, like preventing crime or wildfires. Each registered household will receive a free Neighborhood Watch gift bag. Visit www.saratoga.ca.us/fair to register.

Saratoga Loves Poetry

Attention Saratoga students! Show off your writing skills by participating in the Saratoga Loves Poetry contest, open to students in grades kindergarten through 12 who live or attend school in Saratoga. Submit your original poem of 21 lines or less by September 30 for the chance to win a prize and have your work showcased in the community! Visit www.saratoga.ca.us/art for more information.

State Route 85 Overnight Lane Closures

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has started work to install new traffic striping and fog seal along State Route 85 (SR 85) between the freeway interchanges of Almaden Expressway to Stevens Creek Boulevard. SR 85 will remain open, but temporary lane closures are needed for crews to safely work. Lane closures are scheduled for Monday through Friday in the northbound direction from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and southbound from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Work is expected to be complete by October 2022.
